In February 2016 a semi-trailer truck arrived in Bonham with this 40,000-pound caboose and its bogie, the chassis with wheels and axles for the caboose.  A crane unloaded the caboose to its resting place in front of the Museum.

It had long been a dream of the museum to have a caboose.

The restoration of the caboose is now complete, and tours are available during the hours that the Museum is open.
