Charlie Christian Exhibit
Charles Henry Christian (1916-1942) was a Bonham native who developed a unique single-string style of playing the guitar that earned him a place in Benny Goodman's band in 1939.
He died at the age of 25 of tuberculosis after playing at Carnegie Hall and achieving fame. He is buried at Gates Hill Cemetery in Bonham.
